At Pen Light, LLC, we are here to help you understand yourself, your relationships, and your work so you can invest your time, energy, and resources in the things you love without burning out or selling out. We emphasize and build upon the intersections between personal well-being, professional goals, and interpersonal relationships using our unique blend of skills and experience in communications, psychosocial support, and agriculture.

Our story
In 2023, Kristen "K" Castrataro was a professional writer and educator in the fields of child protection, communication, and agriculture. For eight years, she had been successfully developing child protection trainings, guidance, and knowledge management for INGOS, government agencies, and national humanitarian actors.
Then her work stream dried up. After several rejected proposals, K felt God was preparing her for something different.
He was.

During an internet search, K encountered an institute that trained people to facilitate journal workshops for personal growth and healing. As she underwent the instructor certification training, K realized that these tools were the final piece she needed to create the kind of career she had always wanted, one where she could support individuals' creativity and well-being while using her extensive and diverse training and experience.

And so, in February 2024, Pen Light, LLC was born. Since then, K has consulted with farmers and women entrepreneurs, led journal-based Bible studies, and created a remote memoir-writing workshop series so that each client can beginning writing their own brighter tomorrow...today.
